Biography

Brimstone Butterfly was formed in an old slaughterhouse in Aarhus, Denmark and had right of both ambition and urge to create their own unique sound. The first album "Gonepteryx Rhamni" was released in 2001 and the single "Superwanker" made number 1 on the MTV Up North Chart.

The release party was a free open-air concert on the top of a seven storey building in the centre of Aarhus as a gift to the citizens.

Brimstone Butterfly has since been touring, writing and recording songs for "Normality Killed The Cat". The production idea behind this second album was to keep it simple and raw, while the lyric universe evolves in and around normality and the "ordinary" life. The place where curiosity, inclination to learn, love and zest for life have been replaced by materialism, boredom, narrow mindedness and even cynicism, as we zap the telly between war and sports.

The album is also the first Danish DVD-Audio release.

Brimstone Butterfly is:

Thomas Krämer: Vocals & Guitars
